Questions and answersabout Octablò.
Everything owners ask before they start, answered in a sentence or two.
Getting started
What is Octablò?
Octablò is a website builder made only for restaurants, bars, cafés and food trucks. You build a professional site yourself, in under an hour, and keep it up to date in seconds.
Do I need technical skills?
No. Everything has a simple form: type your menu, set your hours, upload your photos. If you can post on Instagram, you can build your site.
Can I try it free?
Yes. The Free plan is free for as long as you like, with no card needed. Paid plans also come with a 30-day free trial.
Design
Can I change the design later?
Yes. Change colours, fonts, layouts and sections any time. Your guests see the changes when you press Publish.
Will my site look good on phones?
Yes. Every design is built for phones first, with Call, Directions and Book always in reach.
Bookings and orders
Do you take a commission on bookings or orders?
No, never. Guests book with you directly, or through the booking and delivery partners you already use.
Does it work with my booking system?
Most likely. Octablò works with 13 named booking systems, including OpenTable, SevenRooms, TheFork, Resy and Quandoo, and any other system with a booking link.
Domains and email
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on every paid plan. Octablò shows you the records to add, and sets up a secure certificate for you.
Do you provide email addresses?
No. Keep your email where it is; connecting your domain to Octablò doesn't affect it.
Plans and billing
Do prices include VAT?
No. Prices are shown before VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, any time, from Billing in Studio. Upgrades start straight away; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you've paid for.
Search and AI
Will my site show on Google?
Yes. Every site comes with a sitemap and structured data, so Google can find and understand it. Where it ranks depends on things like your reviews and your Google Business Profile.
Can AI assistants find my menu?
Yes. Your menu, hours and location are written in a clear, structured form that assistants like ChatGPT can read and quote.
Privacy and security
Is my site secure?
Yes. Every site is served over HTTPS and hosted in the EU, with security updates handled for you.
Do I need a cookie banner?
Only if you add tracking tools such as Google Analytics. Octablò's own statistics use no cookies.
Moving from another site
Can I move from Wix, WordPress or Squarespace?
Yes. Give Oblò your address and it brings over your pages, photos, menus, hours and contact details, while the old site stays live. Connect your domain when you're ready.
Will I lose my Google ranking?
Keep the same domain, and most of your ranking carries over. Use the same page names where you can.
